About Us
Established in September 2007, Ishyo Arts Centre is a platform for artists, art lovers, cultural professionals, entrepreneurs and anyone who is passionate about art. This successful non-governmental organization operates locally and internationally and brings cultural practitioners together to make traditional and contemporary culture available to all. Ishyo also develops and supports innovative artists, projects and training programs mainly in literature, dance, music, poetry and theatre.

LITERATURE AND EDUCATION
Ishyo Arts Centre has initiated and contributed in different educative programs and projects.
CHILDREN AND YOUTH WITH DISABILITIES
To this end, in 2014; Ishyo initiated a project ‘Breaking Barriers-Building Bridges’ in collaboration with Comedy Knights (Rwanda), Kaami Arts (Rwanda), Tubiteho (Rwanda) and Sagohuset (Sweden).
KINA FESTIVAL
Kina Festival is organized by Ishyo once in two years. It is performing arts for children festival. Its main objectives are developing children’s creativity using the Arts and improving young artists’ creative skills through high quality arts workshops and exposure to performances by both children and renowned international artists.
KIGALI UP FESIVAL
Ishyo has been a partner of this unique outdoor music festival which brings together, every year since 2011, world-renowned artists from different horizons for live shows, organizes workshops for local aspiring artists, while creating a fun-filled family event with crafts sale, a children’s corner, a beer and food garden, etc.
