Our house is a theatre play exploring the questions of home and house in a time where people are sometimes forced to leave theirs, building new lives and new relationships in different countries, with different cultures

The play is a sharing of memories between the comedians and the audience. Memories of houses morph into thoughts of home, of home country, identity and community. Our house is also the stories about houses, where people lived, that were abandoned and lost.

The play is performed by two Rwandans and three Germans. The play is in mainly in English (80%), with some texts in German, Russian, French and Kinyarwanda. Our house premiered in Germany on 17th September.

The Rwandan premiere is to take place from the 3rd to the 06th November and will tour in:

Kigali , on the 3rd November at 2pm and 3pm ,at SOS Technical School in Kagugu (Free Entrance) and on the 6th November at Kigali Public Library from 6pm (Entrance fee 3000rwf for children under 18 years and 5000rwf for adults)

Butare on the 4th November in the University of Rwanda/ Campus of Butare (Free Entrance)
